Inmate Text App
If you have a friend or family member currently in prison, the best way to stay connected with them is to use an inmate texting application. These apps are specifically created to meet prison regulations and allow family members and friends to send and receive messages images, photos, eCards video calls, and even money into their trust accounts in prison. In addition to these messaging apps, there are also many text inmate federal inmate apps that offer additional services like video visits and phone calls.
JPay, for example allows family and friends to send money directly into an inmate's trust account as well as emails, photos, videograms and electronic cards. You can also design personalized postcards using their own photos. It's a more secure, more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular app for texting prisoners is GettingOut. It allows "simple reliable, reliable communication" between inmates with their loved ones. The app is available at select correctional facilities that allow inmates to upload photos and send messages to family and friends via their tablets. Inmates pay $0.25 per message and their loved ones pay cost of data to access them (but not explicit pictures). You can also make use of the GettingOut application to share a photo on Facebook or Foursquare and check-in on Foursquare and add a video to a YouTube upload.
